This Simple 2-Ingredient Recipe Will Help You Cure Sinusitis, Flu, Phlegm, Rhinitis & More Health Issues
Sinus infection, also known as sinusitis, is an inflammation or swelling of the tissue lining the sinuses. Unlike healthy sinuses which are filled with air, inflamed sinuses are congested and filled with fluid on which germs start to grow and may cause an infection.
Sinus infections strike millions of people each year, and only those who suffer from this health issue know the discomfort and annoyance it can cause. Sinusitis usually occurs due to allergies, colds, and fungal or bacterial pathogens. Common symptoms include facial pain or pressure, runny or stuffy nose, cough or congestion, fever, fatigue, dental pain, loss of smell, bad breath, and thick, green or yellow nasal discharge.
Even though this type of infections are commonly treated with over-the counter and doctor prescribed treatments, they can oftentimes prove to be ineffective or even cause numerous side effects that can actually worsen your existing condition.
Fortunately, there are completely natural home remedies for sinus infections, which have been proven to be highly effective in relieving the symptoms with no unwanted side effects. One of them is the following recipe, which uses two simple ingredients.
Home Remedy for Sinusitis (Recipe)
- ½ liter of organic apple cider vinegar
- fresh ginger root (medium-sized)
- a clean glass jar with hermetic lid
- First, wash and peel the fresh ginger root, and then grate it.
- Next, fill a clean glass jar with half a liter of organic apple cider vinegar, and then add the grated ginger to it.
- Stir well and close the jar tightly.
- The resulting mixture should be kept closed for at least 10 days, at room temperature. Make sure to shake the jar once in a while.
How to Use This Remedy:
Once the 10-day period is over, you can start using this remedy to make inhalations. Inhaling this mixture for 5 minutes will efficiently clear up your congestion and relieve your symptoms very soon.
After you’ve done an inhalation with this mixture, you should moisten a handkerchief or a small towel in the same fluid and place it on your neck. Leave it overnight for best results.
Perform this treatment for at least five consecutive days, and very soon you will experience great improvement. Your inflammation will start to reduce, the stubborn headaches will be relieved, and all other uncomfortable symptoms will slowly disappear.
This all-natural treatment will help you to effectively treat sinusitis, flu, rhinitis, phlegm, and many more similar health issues.
Another way to use ginger for this purpose is the following:
Fill a large bowl, pan, or kettle with water and add 50 grams of freshly grated ginger root to it. Heat the water until it’s hot enough (but not boiling), and then remove from heat. Next, drape a large bath towel over your head and over the bowl, and start inhaling the steam. Do this for at least 5 minutes or until you feel your air passages open. Repeat several times throughout the day.
Using home remedies like the ones we have mentioned in this article will help you treat your health issues in a completely natural way without the need of conventional medicines and antibiotics, which can have some serious side effects.
